Members of the Big Car collective of writers and artists collaborated to write the script and create its multimedia elements. Big Car, a non-profit arts organization based in Indianapolis, is also the play’s producer.
Like the visual art shown each month in the organization’s home, Big Car Gallery in Fountain Square, “I Am Another You” strives to avoid cliché and convention. It is a dark drama addressing the physical and emotional issues of romantic relationships in a poetic and surrealist style.
“I Am Another You” features a cast of nine actors, all from Indianapolis: John Ronk, Amanda Hansen, Jessica Strauss, Ryan Mullins, Amy Pettinella, Michael Davis, John Clark, Shauta Marsh and Nicole Homoya.
Micheal Tapscott of the local bands More Animals of the Arctic and Odawas created original music for the play, some in collaboration with other Big Car artists. He will be performing live during each of the five performances during the festival.
Local visual artist Anna Rae Landsman. is also contributing animations that will be projected during the play.
